I remember that only three years ago all I was looking at was the plans for a Mission’s House and Children’s House, and now I am able stand on the Project Samuel site and see them completely finished. Because of the completion of these important buildings I have the privilege of working with eight wonderful new additions to Project Samuel. These are children whose smiles have an amazing ability to put a smile on every face that looks at them. Not only that, I now get the opportunity to work with amazing people who come and serve at Project Samuel.
Two weeks ago I was blessed with the opportunity to work alongside a Mission Team from River of Life in Winnsboro, Louisiana that shares the same heart for the children of Project Samuel. We ministered to the children and the community through soccer training camps, a leader training seminar, Pastor’s conferences, worship services and through the many daily activities that go on at Project Samuel. It was a wonderful time for both the children and the team. Not only did the team bless us spiritually but they were also a huge blessing by building the trusses for our third children’s house and Destiny Training Center. They brought so much insight into the ways of construction and shared it openly with the Project Samuel staff so that we will have the knowledge needed to build our own trusses in the future.
In addition, River of Life raised the funds for a water well that we were able to drill while they were here in Zambia. It came at a great time due to the fact our existing well is struggling to keep up with the daily needs of Project Samuel.
Because of the River of Life Team and their efforts, It won’t be long and Project Samuel will have sixteen more children living on site. All that is needed to complete the second children’s house is to paint and furnish the inside and the third children’s house is not far behind. I would like to say thank you to all of our supporters and extend my love and thanks to the missions team from River of Life Church that traveled all the way from Louisiana to Zambia to minister to the children and community of Project Samuel.
You have no idea how much it means to me that you support the ministry that I love to do! And don’t forget that through RFC’s Mission Possible program you to can be a part of a mission team that makes a difference in the countries we serve.
